Looking for a cute way to upgrade your hair but you don’t have the time to get into a complicated hair tutorial?


Just grab a silk scarf and upgrade your basic ponytail! Follow along to try this hairstyle upgrade.

Tools and materials:

  • Silk scarf
  • Ponytail holder

1. Make a ponytail

After brushing out any tangles, pull your hair into a slick ponytail at the back of your head. Secure it in place with a ponytail holder.

2. Fold and tie

Now, fold or scrunch your scarf into a strip and lay the center at your hairline.


Pull the ends underneath the base of your ponytail and make a single knot.

3. Cross to cover your ponytail holder, then tie

Then pull each end upward and cross them above the ponytail holder.

Next, pull the ends of the scarf downward, tying them underneath your ponytail.


Leave the scarf ends hanging underneath.
