So the other day I created a super cute hairstyle using lots of small rubber bands. But now it's time to remove them!

This can be such a faff but, today, I’m going to show you an awesome hack for removing tiny rubber bands without pulling your hair.

This hack is so easy and is going to save your hair from a lot of damage in the long run. All you need is a curling iron. Let’s get started!

Tools and materials:

  • Curling iron
Rubber bands in hair

Simply take your hot curling iron and gently press it against the rubber bands in your hair for a brief moment.

Applying heat to rubber bands

Try to avoid applying heat onto the hair directly.

After a second or two, the heat from the curling iron will cause the rubber band to snap away, saving you from tugging it out!

Won’t the rubber melt on the curling iron? I realize it’s held there for just a few seconds, but still.
