In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to make a hair growth oil recipe. Only three ingredients and your edges will be growing back like crazy. If you want to repair damaged hair, keep reading.

Best castor oil!

Reap the benefits of castor oil with this bestseller castor oil that Amazon reviewers swear by!

Tools and materials:

  • Dropper bottle
  • Castor oil
  • Measuring spoons
  • Funnel
  • Rosemary essential oil
  • Peppermint oil
  • Spoolie
Combining the ingredients

1. Combine ingredients

Take a dropper bottle and pour into it 1/8th of a cup of castor oil. I recommend using a funnel to pour it in.

Castor oil is also amazing for the hairline because it is a very thickening oil. Then add 15 drops of rosemary oil and 15 drops of peppermint oil.

Applying oil to hair

2. Apply to hair

Apply a few drops to the edges of your hair.

Applying oil to edges

You should rarely lay your edges if you're trying to grow them.

However, if you just want to soften your edges while reducing the amount of manipulation, you can take an eyelash spoolie and use it to apply the oil to your edges.

I personally prefer to use my fingers instead of a brush as it involves less manipulation.

Applying oil to eyebrows

You can also use this oil on your eyebrows as well to help hairs grow back.

Massaging scalp

3. Massage it in

Once everything is on your scalp whichever way you want to apply it go ahead and do a scalp massage to work it in.

Be sure not to use your nails, only your fingertips.

Now that you've seen how we make the oil and how to apply the oil let's get into a few questions that you might have:

How long can the hair growth oil last before it goes bad?

It will basically last until you finish it. It does not go bad because the oils all have natural preservatives. It will only go bad if you keep it in a very moist and hot area. Otherwise, it should last you even a year.

How often should you apply this oil?

I would recommend you apply it every single day if you have thicker or coarser hair. Even if your hairline is thinning if all your hair is naturally on the thicker, coarser side, you can get away with using this every single day. You only need to use the tiniest bit.

If your hair tends to be on the finer side or has very high porosity where when you put oil, especially thick oils like this one, it makes your hair feel soft and mushy, try every other day or every two days.

You do not need to wash your hair after you apply this. As soon as you put it on it will be little enough that it doesn't make the rest of your hair oily, soft, or mushy or damage your hair. You just need the tiniest bit for it to be the most effective.

How long is it going to take for me to see significant results?

Now, this of course depends on the severity of your damage. Usually, the shorter your hair is the faster you see results. For you to see a significant change, I would say anywhere from two to eight weeks.

But, for a complete restoration, like for your hair to go back to how it was before, for your hairline to be full, I would say it would take anywhere from three months to one year depending on the severity of your damage.

Bear in mind, if your hair has very severe damage you may need to seek other treatment.

How do I get the best results?

In terms of getting the best results, to get the best restoration of your hairline you need to use this oil as well as avoid other things like whatever was causing the hair loss in the first place (such as pulling too hard on your hair or braiding it too tightly).
