DIY: Cloudy Mini Bag

Continuing with the topic of my last DIY, today's proposal is the transformation of an eyewear-case into a XS bag. Although what we can wear in a mini bag is very limited, I think they are a very chic accessory and love the,, specially for those days when we don't want to be carrying a big bag all the time. The eyewear case was a bargain I bought in Primark last summer and the chain has been used for several projects, because when I buy chain I buy meters, so it is cheaper. So, as you can see, today's DIY is very low-cost. I wanted a fun accessory with personality; the clouds and nice sentence on it give a naive touch to the garment. Do you like it?

MATERIALS

- Eyewear case

- Thick chain

- Round rings

- Elastic ribbon

- Thread and needle

- Acrylic paint

- Brush

- Permanent black felt-tip

- Pencil (optional)

Cut two pieces of elastic ribbon of 3cm approx. Do a loop with each of them and sew them to the opening side of the case (as seen in the picture). If you unstick a bit the "linen" of the case, you can sew the loops to it easily and the stitches won't be seen.

Using the brush paint in white some clouds all over the surface of the case. If you don't dare doing it directly with the paint, first draw them with a pencil and it will be easier. Once it is dry (let it dry for some hours) write the sentence with permanent black felt-tip.

Add to each elastic ribbon two round rings in where we are going to hook up the chain extremes, one to each loop. Put the chain and close the round ring with your hand or pliers. ¡You new mini bag is ready! You'll see it soon in one look :)

I have used a tapestry one to carry eye makeup in so it doesn't get lost in my purse. I use empty pill bottles to carry bandaids and alcohol wipes, change, minisewing kit and many other things
