3 Super Cute and Easy Heatless Hairstyles
Hi everyone! I recently cut my hair and was inspired to try out three of my favorite cute heatless hairstyles. My aim was to make sure the styles would work on medium hair, but I actually think they will work on most hair lengths.
These styles are very easy to create, and you don't really need any special hairstyling skills to do them. All you're going to need is two hair clips, a hair tie and one bandana.
Tools and materials:
- 2 hair clips
- Scrunchie
- Bandana
Hair scarf hairstyle
1. Fold your hair scarf
To do this first look you just need a regular bandana.
To make the bandana into a headband, you just take the bottom part and fold it in.
You want the fold to be about an inch or two centimeters thick.
Then you just fold it all the way down until eventually you have a headband.
2. Place the headband behind your neck
Once you have it as a headband, take the long end and put it behind your hair.
3. Tie the knots
Now, shimmy the headband up so it's right at the nape of your neck.
The first tie for your knot can be done on top of your head, so you can get it as tight as you like.
Then you can pull it in front of your face and tie it again to make sure your knots look cute.
I find that if you do both knots on top of your head it sometimes ends up a bit crooked and doesn't look as nice.
4. Adjust the look
Push the headband back up to the top of your head.
I like to pull it back.
Then push it a little bit forward to bring some of my hair up front.
This is a great heatless hairstyle to easily get your hair out of your face.
Pinned back hairstyles
For this look you're going to need two hair clips.
1. Separate the hair from the front of your face into thick sections
Take a large piece of hair, basically everything in front of your ear.
Depending on how thick or thin your hair is you'll either want to grab more or less, more if you have thin hair and less if you have thick hair.
2. Twist the piece
Now, just twist the front.
3. Clip the section at the back
Then you pull the piece toward the back of your hair.
Once you pull it back it can look tight so I'll just pull out little pieces to loosen it.
Then I clip the section in place.
4. Repeat on the other side
Then you just do the exact same thing on the other side.
That is the second easy heatless hairstyle.
Half bun hairstyle
This last look we'll just use a scrunchie or hair tie.
This is my favorite heatless hairstyle, and it looks good on everyone. As long as you have hair that is about jawline length or below you should be able to do this with no problems.
1. Separate your hair into thick sections on both sides of your head
Grab a section from both sides of your hair in front of your ears. Try to take a lot because we will be using these pieces to make a bun.
2. Bring both sections to the back of your head
Bring those sections together at the back of your head.
To really thicken up the buns, I grab hair from the back as well.
3. Make a bun
Once you have it all at the back, just twirl it around.
Then make a tight bun.
4. Wrap the bun with a hair tie
Grab your hair tie and wrap it around the bun.
Usually after I do this bun, I pull it forward just a little bit, so it doesn't look too tight or get uncomfortable throughout the day.
I love this look because it gets some of your hair off your neck, but it still allows you to have your hair down.
