How to Create an Elegant Eyebrow Shape for Women Over 50

In this eyebrow tutorial, I’m going to show you some flattering eyebrow shapes for over 50.
I’ll be demonstrating how this liquid eyebrow makeup took my very sparse, overly-plucked eyebrows and perfectly framed them.
I’m using a brown shade, but you can find a number of different colors depending on your skin tone and hair color. Let’s get started!
The makeup I'm using today is from the Look Fabulous Forever Range, made specifically for mature skin. However, you can achieve the same results with any brand of makeup.
Tools and materials:
- Liquid eyebrow makeup
- Clean spoolie
1. Prepare the brush for application
Give the bottle a good shake to make sure the product is evenly distributed, then take the brush out of the container.
Rub the excess off on the brow base itself so you’re not applying a blob of product.
2. Start with small brush strokes
When applying, the trick is to use very fine brush strokes to imitate the growth of hair and the shape of the brows.
I have to use a mirror to see what I’m doing, and it takes a bit of practice but it’s worth every minute.
Use these brush strokes to map out the natural shape of a brow you like.
3. Spread the darker pigment
You’ll put more pigment at the end of the brow. That way, you can pick up some of that slightly darker product on the end and take it around the rest of the brow.
4. Use a spoolie to clean up the darkest areas
Let the brow makeup settle for a second.
I tend to do both brows and then use a spoolie brush to go over the eyebrows to remove and blend in those darker areas where the contrast is a bit too high.

Here’s the finished brow! With just one product, my brows are drawn on and shaped perfectly and I’m ready to go out.

I have been struggling with my hideous eyebrows for a very long time. Been plucking them and had them waxed too many times. So grateful you shared your personal experience with us. Also I didn’t know about the makeup you are using. Can’t wait to place my order and hopefully I can do this. Thank you so much! 😊
What is a spoolie brush? Also can you clarify what this means? "Rub the excess off on the brow base itself so you’re not applying a blob of product." does this mean rub the product on the product? Isn't it in a bottle?
