Today we’re going to show you how to detox armpits with just a few ingredients. It sounds weird—we know—but hear us out.

We’ve tried a million different natural deodorants and none of them work. When you use natural deodorants, you do so because you don’t want to put toxins from regular deodorants in your body but those natural deodorants just don’t cut it.

This armpit detox recipe we’re going to show you is just as it sounds. It's a treatment for your underarms that’s going to help completely detox any aluminum, parabens, and toxins in your armpits.

Let’s get started.

Tools and materials:

  • Bentonite clay
  • Apple cider vinegar
  • Plastic or wooden spoon
  • Bowl

Why detox your underarms?

Most people use deodorant for its antiperspirant properties, but antiperspirant is the main source of all the aluminum, parabens, and toxins that are bad for our body.

The aluminum salts temporarily block sweat glands which prevent you from sweating, but the parabens prevent hormone production.

Because of this, there are so many articles out there that say that your deodorant is linked to breast cancer. Whether this is true or not, sometimes doing a little detox doesn’t hurt.

Natural deodorants are touted as such because they lack antiperspirants, but that’s the primary reason to use deodorant. Of the 7-8 we’ve tried, none of them worked as desired.

This bentonite clay armpit detox is a great way to make sure you’re still getting the antiperspirant benefits without the risks.

Detoxing armpits with bentonite clay

1. Add bentonite clay

Add 1 tbsp of bentonite clay to a bowl. When working with bentonite clay, you want to use a plastic or wooden mixing spoon as metal will deactivate all of the clay’s beneficial ingredients.

Detox armpits with apple cider vinegar

2. Add apple cider vinegar

Add 1 tsp of apple cider vinegar to the bowl.

Mixing the armpit detox recipe

3. Mix

Mix until it turns into a paste.

4. Apply to underarms

Apply the paste to your underarms and let it sit for 5-10 minutes.

It can sting while detoxing, so if you have sensitive skin, leave it on only for five minutes. Do this detox once a month.
