Tools and materials:

  • Acetone
  • White nail polish
  • Sparkly nail polish
  • Top coat
Aqua green base color nail polish

1. Apply the base color

Apply your colored base coat and make sure this coat is thoroughly dried before proceeding to the next step. So, I went with this aqua green color- it’s looks so fresh and has a lovely bright hue to it.

I've seen many quartz nails with a rose base color, but I think this color is better. The color is really up to you; this is your creation and style, so pick anything that makes your heart smile.

2. Apply white polish

Once your base color is fully dried, go in with white nail polish, applying around three thick strokes to your nail.

Swirling the nail polish with acetone

3. Add acetone

Next, dip your brush into some acetone, and glide the brush over the white strokes to create a marble-like design

Apply white nail polish in different areas and repeat the acetone removal process.

When you remove the color, you give the remaining white polish a milky consistency- and that’s really the trick when doing quartz marble nails!

Repeat the process and apply more white nail polish; this will give your nail more dimension, just like a real quartz stone.

4. Add some sparkle

I also decided to add some sparkly nail polish with a low-density glitter consistency—just something light and fun to give my green marble nails a little bit of sparkle.

5. Apply a top coat

Once you’re happy with how your quartz nails look, top off your mesmerizing manicure with a clear topcoat.
