Today’s tutorial will be showing you how to lighten underarms using turmeric. We'll be adding turmeric with other ingredients, which are all natural and organic. They also can all be found at home: super easy and simple!
Tools and materials:
- Double cream plain yogurt
- Turmeric
- Honey
- Bicarbonate of soda
- Water
- Bowl
- Spoon
1. Add double cream plain yogurt
Add 2 teaspoons of double cream plain yogurt to a bowl. Make sure to use plain!
Yogurt adds moisture to the face and it also helps brighten the skin. In this case, we are using it as a brightening agent.
2. Add turmeric
Add 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder to the bowl of yogurt.
Turmeric is my absolute favorite ingredient. It is very good for the skin. It contains antioxidants as well as anti-inflammatory components. This helps glow and revive your skin by bringing out its natural glow.
3. Add honey
Add 1 teaspoon of pure honey to the mixture. Honey is very good at removing impurities, moisturizing the skin, and bringing out the natural glow of your skin.
4. Add bicarbonate of soda
Add 1 teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda.
You really need to be careful with this step because bicarbonate of soda can irritate the skin. Do a small patch test before adding this ingredient to the mix to make sure that your skin will not get irritated.
Bicarbonate of soda helps remove dead skin and soothe inflammation.
Never use more than 2 tablespoons in each mix.
5. Add water
Add a splash of water to the preferred consistency. About 2 teaspoons worth of water, depending on how thick or runny you want it.
6. Mix
Mix everything together really well with a spoon. You will start to see that the consistency is starting to become a bit runnier.
Apply this mixture using a brush and not your fingers because of turmeric stains.
How to lighten underarms with turmeric

How long do I leave the mixture under the arms?
This makes me feel sad that society doesn't accept you for what you are. All of you is beautiful including your underarms!
As a caucasian person I've never even heard of this. But at least you will never suffer from sad, wrinkled arms like this old white lady has.
Underarms are folds, hairy, stinky pits.
Nothing nice about them, this is why I'll never wear sleeveless anything. If I don't like looking at others Underarms then why would I assume that looking at mine is ok? Now I don't have hairy pits but I won't raise my arm when I wear very short sleeve top.
