Dandelions are great for crafts and cooking, but did you know that they can also be used in beauty products?

They are so pretty and their flowers can be used for a variety of things. Did you know that dandelion oil is one thing they're capable of? It's not as hard to make as it seems, either!

Dandelion-infused oil is one of nature's most versatile oils, and there are so many ways you can put it to use. You might add dandelions to your homemade beauty recipes for a golden glow or soothing relief from dry skin

Or you could incorporate the powerful qualities into your massage routine with these five simple steps: pour some liquid onto an area of sore muscles; rub in circular motions until completely absorbed by body heat; then gently pull on adjacent muscle groups as if stretching them out before relaxing those areas using light pressure.

  • Pick a bowl or jar full of dandelion heads.
  • Rinse them underwater, and lay them on a towel to dry out overnight.
  • Add dried dandelion heads to a jar, and fill the jar with oil, to cover the dried dandelions.
  • Set the jar in a sunny window for 1-2 weeks.
  • Cut a cheesecloth about 8” x 8” and set it over the mason jar.
  • Put a canning funnel into the jar, over the cheesecloth.
  • Pour the dandelions that have been in the oil-filled jar into the funnel, into the other jar. Allow as much liquid through as possible, so you may want to let everything sit for 5 minutes or so.
  • Discard dandelions, and put a lid on the jar that is now filled with oil.
  • Use your homemade dandelion oil in numerous ways.
