How to Make Face Wash With Black Soap - All Natural Ingredients
This African black soap face wash helps to clear dark spots from your skin while cleansing your face at the same time.
African black soap is itself made from natural ingredients, often including palm kernel oil and burnt cocoa pod ash or roasted plantain ash.
It is made without adding any lye, so it has moisturizing properties as well as antibacterial properties.
Tools and materials:
- Raw African black soap
- Sweet almond oil
- Liquid honey
- Tea tree oil
- Turmeric powder
- Measuring cup
- Measuring spoons
- Mixing bowl
- Glass jar with lid
- Gloves
1. Mix the ingredients
Shred 100 - 120 grams (3.5 - 4.2 ounces) of African black soap into a mixing bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil.
Add 2 tablespoons of liquid honey.
Add 5 drops of tea tree oil.
Add 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder.
Place the mixing bowl over a large measuring cup of hot water to warm the black soap. As you notice the soap softening, use your fingers to mix all the ingredients together.
As the ingredients mix, the mixture will get denser and stiffer – almost pasty.
Transfer the soap into a sealable jar, where you will be able to keep it for a long time, since you will only use a tiny bit at a time..
2. To use as a face wash
When you are ready to use your African black soap face wash, you just need to pinch a little bit out of the jar and apply it to your face.
You will be surprised by how much it foams up when you are washing your face with it.

So interesting! I’ve never heard of black soap. Do you use it daily? Once a week? Thanks for sharing.
