How to Make Lipstick With Crayons - Fun & Colorful DIY Tutorial
Ok, this may sound crazy, but I’m going to show you how to make lipstick with crayons! This homemade lip balm with crayons is really excellent since you choose to make any colors you want. There are only two ingredients - crayons and coconut oil - so it's super-easy to try out too! Let's get started.

- Non-toxic crayons
- Bowl
- Stove
- Large pan
- Blade or knife
- Coconut oil
- Mixing utensil
- Storage containers
Is it safe to make crayon lipstick?
Yes, absolutely! Crayons are actually non-toxic and are safe for any application since they are made for little kids to enjoy! I’m sure your curiosity is really taking over, so without further ado, let’s start the DIY crayon lip balm tutorial!
1. Prep the crayons
Remove the paper from each crayon with a sharp blade or knife. Then, break the crayon into four pieces.
2. Melt the ingredients
Add water to a large, flat pan and bring it to a consistent boil. Then, place a little bowl in the middle.
As for the rest of the DIY crayon lipstick ingredients, all you’ll need is around ½ a tablespoon of coconut oil. Add it to the little bowl and let it melt.
Next, take ⅓ of the crayon and let it melt into the coconut oil.
Keep testing to see that you get to the desired color, texture, and consistency for your DIY crayon lip balm. If you’re not satisfied, then add more crayon pieces to the mixture.
While you’re at it, you can go ahead and make a few more colors because, why not?
Tip: if you want to make a lightly tinted lip balm, add more coconut oil and fewer crayon pieces.
3. Store the DIY lipstick
