- Spatula
- Small soap or jelly molds (optional)

The secret squishy soap ingredient
The only ingredient for this all-natural squishy soap that you might not have on hand is glutinous rice flour, which is not expensive. It's commonly used in Asian cuisine, particularly desserts, so you can find it in your local Asian store, international supermarket, or online.
1. Mix the flour and soap
In a mixing bowl combine two parts glutinous rice flour with one part liquid soap or body wash. Mix it together with a spatula.
2. Add color
If you want to add color to your DIY squishy soap, add a few drops of food coloring now and mix it in well.
3. Knead the mixture
Use your hands and fingers to knead the ball of squishy soap very well. Knead in all the bits from the bottom of the bowl and make sure the color you added is well distributed.
4. Press into a mold
Separate small pieces of the squishy soap from the large ball and press them into the soap mold.
If you want to be creative, you can skip the mold and form your squishy soap into your own freehand shape.
5. Steam
Bring water to a boil in the bottom of your steamer and place your filled soap mold or freehand-shaped soap into the top of the steamer. Cover with the steamer lid and steam on high heat for ten minutes.
6. Let it cool
Unmold your squishy soap if you used the mold or remove the soap from the steamer carefully. Let cool.
