So, my brows are in pretty bad shape at the moment. Lately, I've been doing them myself and it’s been working really well for me. In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to pluck your eyebrows at home. Let’s jump into my eyebrow care routine!

Best eyebrow tweezers!

Pull out any eyebrow hairs with this tweezer set that Amazon reviewers swear by!

Tools and materials:

  • Eyebrow pencil
  • Tweezers
  • Spoolie
  • Small scissors
  • Aloe vera gel
  • Eyebrow razor
Creating a base for eyebrow shape

1. Create a base

To start, take an eyebrow pencil or powder and create a nice base

underneath your brows, according to the shape that you want.

2. Tweeze stray brow hairs

Then, comb your brow hair upwards to get them out of the way. With sharp and precise tweezers, pluck the stray hair out right from the root.

Tip: Whenever you're plucking your eyebrows, pluck in the direction of the hair growth and not against it.

Trimming eyebrows

3. Brush and trim long brow hairs

Next, I use a spoolie and brush the hairs downwards. Whatever hair is poking beyond the line that I created in the base, I just go ahead and trim it off.

Tip: Use tiny scissors that have a slight curve to make sure that you don't go overboard with the trimming.

Tweezing brows

4. Tweezing upper portion of brow hairs

Then, for the upper portion of my brows, I do the same. I start by drawing a nice shape using my eyebrow pencil, then tweeze away any stray hairs.

Tidying up the brows

5. Tidy up brows with a razor

My brows now look pretty clean. You can stop here if you’d like to, but I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to eyebrows. I'm going to go ahead and shave away tiny hairs that I wasn't able to get with my tweezers.

I use an aloe vera gel as a shaving cream because it's soothing and gentle. To shave, I use a super tiny razor which gives me a nice, precise finish.
