Autumn has arrived, and this is my favorite season for hats! I recently learned that berets are incredibly easy to sew, so I put together an easy an instructional infographic for you to follow in order to make your very own!

A beret can be styled casually or dressed up, but they always bring a touch of sophistication to any look.

When choosing your fabrics, try playing with material and color. I used black felt (standard), but you're not confined to this. Try a "pleather" or a bright color, like red or purple.

The creative options don't stop there. As you can see above, I added my own touch of design to each one.

I ended up making 5 different berets! To the top of each one I added...

  • Craft butterflies from the "scrapbook section"
  • Ribbon tied into a bow
  • Pearl beads
  • Embroidery
  • Fabric paint polka dots

So don't feel like you can't get creative with this project.

These are so easy and fun to make, you'll end up with more than you can wear.

I ended up sending a couple to some followers on Instagram!
