Chemistry of Pumpkin

Be sure you read our blog post for detailed chemistry, but here is a quick overview for you:

Carotenoids

The orange color of pumpkins is due to it’s high amount of carotenoids, specifically alpha-carotene and beta-carotene. Carotenoids are so nourishing for your skin.

Vitamins

Pumpkins are an excellent source of vitamin C. They also contain good concentrations of vitamin A and E. Pumpkin also contains various B vitamins like niacin, riboflavin, and folate. B vitamins play an important role in skincare!

Enzymes

Pumpkin is full of amazing natural fruit enzymes that do so many great things for your skin. Fruit enzymes are very popular for skincare products because they really transform your skin.

This makes pumpkin great for brightening skin, shrinking pores, acne, and more!
