I am always looking for unique ways to style ordinary things. When I saw this beautiful outfit by one of my favorite fashion influencers Victoria Fox, I loved the simple but impactful ribbon detail. I knew it would be a new fashion staple for me.

I recreated the complete outfit since I loved the whole thing, my version came in at just $20. I bought the ribbon on a roll at Walmart for just $3. I already had the brooch so this was such an inexpensive way to add some glam to an otherwise basic white outfit.

Cut the ribbon to your desired length and for your height. drape it around your neck.

Take the right side and drape it over your shoulder. I tried pining it this way at first but it needed to be double looped to reinforce it.

Wrap the right side over again so you have 2 pieces covering the neck

Add the brooch to the side where the pieces meet. If you don't already have a brooch, they are half price every other week at Hobby Lobby and run from $5-15.

The finished look!

The longer the ribbon the more dramatic.

A back view

I added a hat to it to make it more my own. I will certainly use this ribbon/brooch idea again, it will be great for the holiday season!

Blessings,

Eden

Classy lady, commented earlier on the $4.00 bright flowered skirt, worn different ways and didn't go through. Again, very nice and pretty model. refreshing to see someone dressing classy! 😉

just beware getting long ends caught in elevator gap of floor or doors, car doors/wheels, etc. (see also, Isadora Duncan)
