DIY The Statement-Hem Denim Trend 5 Ways
I live in my ankle booties this time of year, and my favorite type of denim distressing is at the hemline. There are so many cute looks to try, and in my opinion, it’s the best way to highlight your fall shoe collection! Watch the video below to see the quick and easy step-by-step tutorial!
Although I used a few different materials for this, I already hand them all on hand, making this a completely free DIY! If you do need to purchase the materials (like the seam ripper, or sand paper), don't worry! They're pretty easy to find and fairly budget-friendly. I am a HUGE fan of a low-cost DIY!
Another thing I love about this project is that it actually saves you money as well! Hemline distressing can be a bit labor intensive depending on the style, which makes them more expensive at ready-to-wear shops. If you've got an old pair of jeans that could do with a bit of a makeover, 10 minutes, and some elbow grease, you can save you can create your own custom, on-trend denim for a steal!
Personally, I'm a huge fan of the step-hem jean since it pairs so well with ankle booties in the fall. Which one is your favorite?
