Timeless, classic and elegant. Chanel has a nice ring to it. Before I moved to Colorado I treated myself to a pair of Chanel earrings at the Beverly Hills store. A truly elegant experience in itself. Wonderful salesmanship, patient customer service and a lovely store setting. At the final point of sale, I was handed my bag with the Chanel ribbon and iconic Camelia flower, the one Coco Chanel was very fond of herself. I knew I would be able to use this ribbon and Camelia flower for a future DIY project. The time finally came this past week as my creativity was flowing - a Chanel Camelia Flower Pin do-it-yourself style.

Follow along for a fairly easy DIY to make your very own Chanel Camelia Flower Pin. (You may be able to ask one of the sales associates at a store for the flower and some ribbon - but I can't make any promises).

1) If your ribbon is a bit wrinkled as mine was, take out an iron and iron the ribbon to perfection. I laid down a towel on my bed and ironed it this way. I'll admit it, I was too lazy to pull out the ironing board. Such is life sometimes!

2) During one of my visits to the craft store, I happened to pick up a box of DIY bar pins. In the event I ever wanted to make home-made pins/brooches. Alas, the time had final come. I was able to utilize these pins to make this stylish brooch

3) Using E6000 glue, I dabbed a line of the glue along the back of the pin. This is where I pressed the Camelia flower into the glue and held it in place to make sure the glue affixed to the flower.

4) Next, I hot glue gunned the ribbon onto the back of the Camelia flower. Before hot glue gunning the ribbon to the back of the flower, decide if you'd prefer the ribbon tied into a bow or any other style. Once you do secure the ribbon to the back of the flower, hold it in placed for a few minutes until it dries.

5) Pin the brooch onto your Chanel inspired outfit. Adjust it to your liking. I think it looks fabulous and stylish.

6) Have fun styling with your outfits!

Iron the ribbon to get any wrinkles out.

I found these bar pins at Michaels, super useful if you plan on creating a variety of brooches or pins.

Not sure why I didn't buy E6000 glue sooner, it has come to my rescue many times when hot glue doesn't do the trick (I know, I was shocked too - I think hot glue was always the answer but it doesn't always work),

Dab some of the E6000 glue on the backing of the pin. Hole the pin firmly and apply some pressure until the pin is secure to the back of the flower.

Now here is when the hot glue gun comes into play. Apply a dab of hot glue onto the Chanel ribbon and press firmly onto the back of the Camelia flower.

Here is your pin, assembled and ready to be work.

I love this Chanel inspired hound's-tooth outfit I found on Shein, so classic and comfortable. This is a similar style dress.
