The succulent trend doesn’t seem to be going anywhere, anytime soon. That’s perfectly fine by me, as I love succulents, cacti and plants of all kind. Today I am going to show you how to make a necklace out of succulents. I used fake succulents but you can actually use real ones too! If you are using real succulents, you use the exact same method and instructions. This necklace can work for a costume, formal wear or even a wedding!

Succulent Necklace

I recently found some faux succulents and air plants on sale at the craft store so I snapped them up and got to work on some new projects. I was quite surprised how realistic these fake succulents look.

There is usually a variety of succulents at the craft store. You can cut several apart and piece them back together.

Supplies:

  • Faux succulents
  • Brass necklace base
  • E-6000 Glue
  • Brass chain
  • Jump rings
  • Clasp

Everything can be found at the craft store except possibly the brass base. I got mine on Etsy.

Arrange the succulents on the brass base

Glue them in place with E6000 glue and let dry completely. This usually takes about an hour. Then you can attach the chain and clasp.

Attach the chain

Attach the chain and jump rings with needle nose pliers. Attach the clasp with pliers.

Your necklace is now ready to wear!
