I have a bunch of earrings that either one broke or I lost one of the pair, what do you do?! Make a neckalace out of it!

This earring has my birthstone but I lost one! So I used pliers to create a hook with the finding (this is the part that goes in your ear, according to Google).

Then I strung it on a chain!

Here is another example where one of the earrings was broken.

I again fastened a hook using pliers.

It turned out to be such a pretty necklace!

Another broken set, I think I could have just used the one none broken earring and threw it on a chain but I created a hook with the finding again.

Simple but elegant.

This earring was the most upsetting, they were real pearls on white gold and the earrings could be worn at two different lengths. I actually wore them on my wedding day! icon

Unfortunately I lost one!

With the pair I still had, I took the pearl off the chain.

Then I found a similar necklace chain in size and slipped the pearl on, securing with the clasp on the end.

I really loved the earrings but I love this as a necklace too! Such a muted and elegant look.
