Anne of Green Gables Halloween costume
Set in the countryside of the late 19th century, Anne of Green Gables is a charming coming-of-age tale. This cute cottagecore aesthetic is a fun and comfortable costume to wear.
1. Find a dress
Dresses with gingham, floral, or plaid patterns are appropriate for this look. A baby doll dress would be the best.
If you don't like wearing dresses, you can definitely wear a skirt with a top, but try to aim for a vintage prairie style.
2. Apply your makeup
The make-up for this look is very simple. Once you have applied some base, add mascara to make your eyes pop.
Add some fake freckles with a freckle pen or brow pencil. A few on the nose and cheeks are all you need.
Give your face a youthful glow by adding blush to your cheeks, nose, and forehead.
3. Style your hair
Start by brushing your hair and creating a middle part.
Split your hair into two even sections.
Braid each side.
4. Add accessorises
Then, add a sun hat.
And finish the costume with white stockings and flat boots.
And here we have our completed Anne of Green Gables Halloween costume!
Nymph Halloween costume
This next last-minute Halloween costume is a nymph. Everyone should be able to put this together using items they already own.
1. Find a dress
Find a white or neutral color dress in your closet.
2. Add accessories
I added a small butterfly necklace.
And dangly flower earrings.
3. Style your hair
For this costume, we are doing a half-up half-down style. Sweep the top part of your hair into a half ponytail.
Don’t pull it too tight because you are going to make a hole and flip the ponytail over itself.
This will add some interest and texture to the hairstyle.
You can now tighten your ponytail.
For a feminine touch, add some fake flowers to each side of your hair.
You can add butterfly clips to your hair at various places.
This is such a feminine look and was so simple to accomplish.
Halloween teddy bear costume
My final last-minute Halloween costume is to dress as the Corduroy Teddy Bear. My decision to do a Corduroy Teddy Bear is a nostalgic one because he was my childhood icon.
1. Find a shirt and overalls
You will need a flannel shirt and corduroy overalls. If you do not have corduroy, don’t worry, any type of fabric will work.
2. Create the bear ears
Our bear ears will be created by making space buns. Start by parting your hair down the middle all the way to the back.
Put your hair in pigtails and get the two sides as even as possible.
Now, undo one of the ponytails and grip the top of it to keep it in place.
Twist the ponytail into a bun and secure it with a hair elastic.
Repeat on the other side so that you have two fluffy ears.
Add a pair of flats.
And there you have it, a cute, a cute Corduroy Bear costume.
