How to Do Creepy Melting Wax Face Makeup For Halloween
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to do special effects makeup for this Halloween makeup tutorial. We’ll be doing melting face makeup which is super spooky but also really quick and easy to do. Let’s get started!
Tools and materials:
- Foundation
- Bronzer
- Blush
- Eyeshadow
- Eyeliner
- Lipstick
- Mascara
- Makeup remover
- 3D gel
- Beauty blender
1. Foundation (optional)
We’re going to start with our normal face makeup before we move on to the melting face makeup tutorial. I started out by using foundation, but you don’t have to if you don’t want to. I tapped the foundation out all over my face and then blended it out with a beauty sponge.
2. Bronzer
Next, go in with a bronzer to warm up your face and add some color by applying it to your forehead and cheeks.
3. Blush
Throw on some blush.
4. Eyeshadow
For eyeshadow, take a couple of warm shades and apply them to the crease. A good technique to apply is to use windshield wiper and circular motions to help blend the colors together.
Then, use a really pretty pink and gold shimmery shade and pop that on the lid to make this a really girly and fun look.
5. Eyeliner
Line your upper and lower lash line with black eyeliner.
Then smoke out your lower lash line with a pink eyeshadow shade so it’s not so harsh.
6. Lipstick
Use a really hot pink color on your lips.
7. Apply mascara
Apply some mascara.
8. Smudge your makeup with makeup remover
Now, for the fun part. To start the DIY Halloween makeup, take some makeup remover on your hands, put it on your eyes, and rub it down to create a dripping, smudged look.
Do the same for your lipstick so it gives it that melting, smeary look.
9. Apply the 3D gel
Next, take a 3D gel and just put it all over your face to make it look like you’re melting. Don’t put it in the microwave as I did—it’ll be too hot. Instead, just put it in a glass bowl with warm water. Make sure you’re careful so it doesn’t get into your eyes. Also, it’s super sticky and feels like syrup so keep that in mind when choosing what clothes to wear while you apply.
Melting wax face makeup
Here’s the final look! This is the most simple Halloween look. All you have to do is smear your makeup a bit and put on some of this gel and you’ve got the perfect melting face makeup. It’s super cute and only took an hour. Let me know what you think about this look down below!
