Easy Natural Eyelash Growth Serum Recipe for Long Lashes
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to make your very own natural eyelash growth serum.
I wanted to make the serum to see if it would increase my eyelash length even more and make them a little more luscious so they stand out.
I’m really happy with this eyelash growth serum recipe, and it’s super easy to make and apply.
Best castor oil!
Tools and materials:
- Vitamin E oil
- Unrefined coconut oil
- Castor oil
- Dropper bottle
Before we get to my eyelash growth serum DIY, I want to show you how to make your eyelashes look longer and fuller naturally with some other natural remedies:
1. Lemon and olive oil
For this home remedy, you want to apply a little bit of lemon essential oil to some olive oil. Mix it and apply it to your lashes.
Olive oil is wonderful at lengthening, strengthening, and conditioning your lashes. Lemon is great because it’s antiseptic.
If you don’t have lemon essential oil, you can put lemon peels in olive oil and let that sit for a couple of days.
2. Brushing your lashes
Another great tip to help those lashes grow long and lush is to brush them. I know this may sound funny - you usually brush your hair, but no one brushes their lashes.
However, it can help. If you have an eyelash brush, you comb your lashes every day or so and it helps stimulate hair growth.
It also helps to distribute the natural oils on your lashes to help keep them strong and healthy.
3. Coconut oil
What is coconut oil not good for? You can use it on everything and it’s such a versatile oil. Coconut oil is said to help prevent protein loss in lashes.
It’s not known if it can help stimulate eyelash growth, but it can help keep them strong and healthy.
4. Green tea
Here’s one you may not have thought of. Dipping a cotton ball in green tea and smearing it over your eyelashes can help to stimulate your eyelash growth and also keep them clean.
5. Organic shea butter
This is another great remedy because it’s rich in vitamins A and E which help nourish hair and its follicles, as well as helping to stimulate growth.
Just grab a bit of shea butter between your fingers, melt it while rubbing your hands together to heat it, and then apply it to your lashes before you go to bed and leave it on overnight.
This will help nourish your eyelashes and help them grow when done daily.
6. Vitamin E oil
This is a great remedy you’ll find in most hair serums because it’s high in antioxidants and helps promote hair growth.
Find a high-quality vitamin E capsule, prick it open, and apply it to your lashes. Leave on for 3-4 hours or overnight.
7. Castor oil
This is another common remedy used by many for hair growth. All you need to do is combine 1-2 drops of castor oil with a carrier oil (such as jojoba oil, coconut oil, tea tree oil, lemon oil, grape seed oil, etc) and mix it together.
Apply using a cotton swab or mascara wand to help distribute it well.
Keep in mind that castor oil is not often sustainably grown or produced. So, if you opt to use it, please look for one that is sustainable if you can.
8. Natural eyelash growth serum recipe
Finally, let’s move on to the eyelash growth serum that you’ve all been waiting for!
You can also use this serum on your eyebrows too to help get them looking lush and thick.
Step 1: Gather your ingredients
The ingredients you’ll need are 1 tsp of castor oil, 2 capsules of vitamin E oil, and 1 tsp of unrefined coconut oil.
Step 2: Mix and store
Mix all of the ingredients and store them in a small dropper bottle.
To use: Squeeze on drop onto your finger or cotton swab and gently massage into your lash line.
I apply it before going to bed and let it sit overnight. Then, I wash it off in the morning. Use this serum daily for the best results.
