Have You Read Today's Headlines? Newspaper Nails Are So Easy to Do!

Nail art is unique and there are literally thousands of ways to make the perfect manicure! One of these unique styles is newspaper nails! It’s different and definitely adds a “wow” factor to your manicure.
Newspaper nail art is pretty simple to do, and in this tutorial, I’ll show you the best way to do a newspaper nail transfer. Let’s get to it!
Tools and materials:
- Base coat
- White nail polish
- Magazine or newspaper
- Rubbing alcohol
- Shallow dish
- Tweezers
- Top coat
- Rhinestones and studs
- Scissors
1. Paint your nails
Apply a base coat and then paint your nails white.
2. Cut magazine pieces
Now, take an old magazine and cut about 10 square pieces. As you can see, I cut just enough to fit the whole surface area of my nail.
3. Soak in rubbing alcohol
Pour rubbing alcohol into a small dish or a wide cap. Then, soak each newspaper piece in the solution for around 20-30 seconds.
4. Apply newspaper to nails
Apply the soaked newspaper piece onto your nail and press it with your finger so that the ink transfers through.
Next, slowly remove the paper from the nail.
Repeat this step on all the other nails.
For the ring finger, I decided to use something different. I cut out this lovely gray marble background to transfer onto my nail. Remember, newspaper nails don't have to only be with text.
I repeated the same process and look at how stunning it came out.
5. Apply a top coat
Next, apply a clear top coat to seal in the newspaper nail designs.
6. Add embellishments (optional)
If you want to make your newspaper nail art fancier, go ahead and add some studs and rhinestones! Simply apply the topcoat to the area where you want to put the embellishments.
Next, place your rhinestones as shown. Take your time with this step - you want it to look symmetrical.
I placed a few studs on my pinky finger, too.
Lastly, reapply a top coat to both nails, and you’re good to go!

I thought I would try on top of my finished nail with top coat on and it would not transfer. I suspect it was because I had a top coat on.
Where did you say you got your embellishments from?
