How to make an easy oatmeal cookie sugar scrub recipe. This is a simple scrub that's great for dry skin or even sensitive skin.

I used brown sugar, oatmeal, and coconut oil to make this scrub. It's a dryer scrub, so it won't leave your skin oily after you use it. If it's too dry, you can add some water just before using. However, don't add water to the jar because it can cause nasties to grow since it doesn't have a preservative. I used a Candy Cane essential oil blend, but I have more cookie inspired blends in my oatmeal cookie sugar scrub recipe.

To make the scrub, you will need:

Combine the oatmeal and brown sugar. Then melt the coconut oil in the microwave for 30 seconds. Add the essential oils to the coconut oil and stir well. Pour the coconut oil into the oat and sugar mixture and stir.

Then spoon into a jar. This makes a little over 8 ounces of oatmeal body scrub. Scoop a few tablespoons on your hand and use it to exfoliate. Then rinse well.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup oatmeal
  • 1/4 cup coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 5 drops Candy Cane blend
Instructions

Combine the oatmeal and brown sugar in a bowl.
Melt the coconut oil in the microwave for 30 seconds.
Add the essential oils to the melted coconut oil and stir well.
Add the coconut oil to the oatmeal and sugar mixture and stir.
Spoon into an 8 ounce container.
To use, scoop out a few tablespoons and scrub your skin in a circular motion. Rinse well.
