With cold weather all around, would you like to upstyle your winter coat? You can't go wrong with faux fur! It will keep you warm and make a beautiful fashion statement. Make these easy cuffs in any shade, or if you are not a faux fur fan, a silky scarf will do the trick!

I fell in love with a fur-trimmed pink coat I saw online, but it was $190 and that was the USED price. I knew this would be an easy coat to recreate for a fraction of the cost since I already had the fur collar.

I did not have a pink coat which would be the largest expense. I found this belted beauty by Hot & Delicious brand on Poshmark for $19! It's not too heavy and in a dusty pink/mauve-ish color which is exactly what I was looking for. I needed to get the exact fur to match my existing fur collar which I bought a year ago for $16, I found it on Amazon for $20. That's more than I wanted to spend for small cuffs, but I will be using the leftover fur piece for another project.

This was the smallest one they had which is 40" but since its a scarf, it already came satin lined which would save me the trouble and expense to do that. Satin will not be so rough on your fabrics like the backing of most faux fur will.

I started by measuring the front of the cuff and then doubling that, which would mean I need a 10" strip of the fur to go all the way around

Lay the fur face down with the backing side up. Once again having the scarf vs fur fabric helped me since it already had an opening in it which was the exact width I wanted my cuffs to be.

Cut the length you need your cuffs to be. When you cut the fur, be prepared it will go everywhere!

I cut straight down the center of the opening

Now there are 2 strips for the cuffs. It does not have to be perfect, the fur is thick so it covers the edges.

I used hot glue to adhere all the seams to the backing of the fur except for one opening at the bottom.

Fold one end into the other and glue the sating together creating a circle.

Make sure to fold the seam before you glue it so the satin won't fray

After the glue has dried completely and is no longer warm, flip the cuff fur side out and slip over the cuff. You can secure them with a safety pin on the inside of the cuff, but these stayed just fine without them.

My original fur collar came with built-in lapel clips which makes it easy to attach to blazers or coats.

The charcoal gray turtleneck dress was a $9 Goodwill find, it helps to break up the sea of pink. The color ties into the Vince Camuto mauve snakeskin boots and brings it all together. They come in a few different heel heights, this one is called Kervana. They are no longer in stores, but you can get the details about them on Amazon

The coat has such a glam feel now, I absolutely love it! I like that the fur has color variations to give it some depth.

I switched out the snake boots for pink ones to change the style up a little. These faux suede over the knee are Charlize by Shoe Dazzle. They are sold out, I found them on Poshmark.

If you want to buy your own pink fur coat Shein.com has a couple of choices under $50

If you are not into faux fur a silky scarf tied at the neck always upstyles a belted coat or blazer.

You can also just use the belt without any extras, a belted waistline gives outwear a more tailored look.

You can always skip the belt to bring the outfit back into focus. The fur ball pink fedora is a Target brand, I purchased it on Poshmark.

The weather may be cold but you can create warm and timeless looks with just a few accessories. Hope you are all staying warm out there!

Blessings,

Eden
