I love a neutral outfit, and this all white look is great with a tan trench. I did white skinny jeans with a cream sweater, and then finished the look with tan ankle boots. And of course I added some simple gold jewelry!

Your trench will look great with light wash jeans
You can absolutely wear dark wash jeans with a trench (and they’d look amazing) but light wash mom jeans are super trendy right now and I wanted to try them together. They look great! I kept it super casual with sneakers, a plain white t-shirt, and a black baseball cap.

A trench coat looks great with a fitted skirt or dress
You can absolutely wear a trench coat with a skirt or dress! I think it looks best if the skirt or dress is fitted, like a bodycon dress or pencil skirt. Since the trench is more voluminous, it’s better to choose a dress that contrasts against the trench volume.

Tan trench coats are so chic with stripes!
Pairing a classic trench coat with black and white stripes just feels SO chic. You could do that same tee with a pencil skirt or black dress pants, but I kept it a little more casual with gray jeans and some loafer flats.
