Trench Coat Styling
As we approach spring I start pulling for more spring like items even though it’s still pretty cold outside. One of my favorite winter to spring transitional pieces is a good trench coat. A trench can really add an elevated element to an outfit and brings it up a notch. Here are some of my favorite ways of pairing a trench.
Here is a very casual look that really looks more elevated by adding the trench. I’m wearing a workout set from Amazon, some crew socks and Converse sneakers. Just added the trench and a dressier bag to bring the look from casual to “casual chic”.
This trench has a more fitted style so I paired it here over a shapeless shirt dress and cinched in the waist. This gave the bottom half more volume giving us the illusion of a small waist.
One can not go wrong with a classic button down. Here I kept it casual with the button down and straight leg jeans. Added combat boots to give it a little bit of an edge.
Here I’ve paired the trench with a very spring appropriate outfit. Pulled out these linen blend yellow trousers and paired it with a knit tank. Feeling all the spring vibes here.
A trench can help break up an all solid color so here I did denim on denim with the trench. All white or all black would also work perfect .
Lastly, I wanted to do a night out look to see if I could dress it up and make it a little different than the norm. Used a mens button down that looked like a dress on me with faux leather leggings and black booties. Really loved how this look turned out.
