How to Create Cute Nail Art By Painting Nails With Fingers
Today I will be showing you how to paint your nails without a brush! I got this idea from a bunch of videos I saw from influencers putting on makeup without brushes etc. Not only will I be painting nails with fingers, I'll be doing full-on nail design as well!
Tools and materials:
- Base nail polish
- Other nail polish colors
- Studs
- Top coat
- Q tips
- Nail polish remover
1. Apply base coat
Apply your base coat. I am applying a white base coat polish to my nails.
I don't really have any specific technique on how to do this, it is my first time. I am honestly struggling but am figuring out what works and so far so good.
First, I poured some nail polish onto my fingertip.
Then, I dabbed the polish lightly onto my nail. I replicated brush strokes with my fingers as well, but this can look uneven, so I mixed up dabbing and brushing motions.
It is a little bit messy and sticky but this is the challenge!
2. Clean up
Use a q-tip and nail polish remover to clean up your nails. Honestly, I am not sure if this is cheating because I made this challenge up!
3. Design
Choose three colors for your design. Add blobs of each of them onto a piece of plastic or an easy-to-clean surface.
Use your finger to pat the nail polish onto your nails in a splatter design.
This is turning out so pretty! I am actually really impressed with my nail designing skills. You could totally use a nail sponge for this design, but today I am using only my fingers.
Use whatever combo of colors you would like. I am using pink, purple, aqua, and orange. Adjust the colors and applications as you like.
4. More decorations
I decided to add some studs.
Apply a top coat to the stud to act as glue and apply the stud to your nails of choice.
5. Apply top coat
Apply a clear top coat to create a glossy and smooth finish.

Pink, purple, aqua and orange is pretty. How about purple, aqua and mint green?
Very pretty and practical! I've seen my granddaughters apply Elmer's glue around their nails before painting them so that any excess polish would just peal off easily rather than using the polish remover. Try it; you'll like it!
