Filling in brows

1. Brows

Princess Jasmine has very defined brows so start by filling in your brows with some brown pomade using an angled brush. Then shape your brows.

Applying concealer

2. Concealer

Once done, use a concealer to clean up the borders of your brows, and also use it as a base for the eyeshadows. To prevent the concealer from creasing, dust on some loose powder.

3. Eye makeup

For dramatic straight edges, use some sticky tape in the corners of your eyes. Then take a nude eyeshadow which will be your transition shade and apply it to your crease and outer corner with a blending brush.

Next, take an orange-red shade and deepen the outer corner as well as the crease using the same blending brush.

Applying eyeshadow

Then take a while shade and use a flat shader brush to brighten up the inner corner. Right next to this, take a pearly shimmer shade and use the same flat shader brush to apply it.

Then, take a gold shimmery shade with specks of glitter and apply it to the center of your lids.

Applying eyeshadow

Then to deepen the outer corner further, take a dark gray shade and using a blending brush, place it in the outer corner and blend it out with the other shades.

Applying primer

4. Primer

Use a primer to fill in all of your pores and fine lines.

Blending skin makeup

5. Finish the base

To achieve a beautiful golden glow, apply a foundation in a bronzy shade with a sponge or a brush. Then to add structure and dimension, use a cream contour.

Proceed to blend everything out with the foundation brush. A crucial step in adding that dimension is also highlighting the high plains of your face.

Then blend everything out with a damp beauty sponge. When done, set your entire face. Start with areas where you applied the concealer to prevent it from creasing and then dust it all out with a large powder brush.

Adding eye pencil

6. Finish the eyes

Going back to your eyes, take the orange-red color and smoke it out in your entire lower lash line.

To add some drama, deepen the lower lash line using the dark gray shade. Then take the shimmery shade and highlight the inner corner.

To achieve those beautiful almond-shaped eyes, apply some black eyeliner to your waterline and then pull out a small wing. Line your top lash line using some liquid liner.

Adding false lashes

Highlight your brow bones. Then curl your lashes and apply a coat of mascara. Then add some false lashes.

Applying lipstick

7. Bronzer, blush and lipstick

Using some bronzer around your face to add some more warmth. Then add some blush and highlighter to add a subtle glow throughout your face.

Jasmine usually has muted pink lips so opt for lipstick in a muted color. To finish up, seal your face with setting spray.

Pinning hair back

8. Hair

Now let's move on to the hair. I'm going to show you an easy way to achieve the bubble braid that Jasmine has without using a wig.

Start with parting your hair in the center and further section out your hair and front into two parts. With the remaining hair in the back tie a low ponytail.

Now let's work on the front part of the hair. For the padding in front, I ended up rolling two of my socks and I put a stitch in the corner, so it stays in place. You can use socks or some other material, just make sure it's the same color as your hair.

Place this in one section of your hair, bring it all the way to the end, and start rolling it towards your head. Then secure it with a couple of bobby pins.

Repeat it on the other side as well.

Tying end of braid

Now let's move on to the bubble braid. Measure about two inches from the elastic that you used to tie the ponytail and secure your hair with another elastic.

To make that bubble, pull some hair between the two elastics till you’re happy with the size of the bubble, and then repeat the same for a second bubble. To conceal the rubber bands, use a blue ribbon.

Adding headband

For the rest of the outfit, I’m wearing a blue necklace around my head, securing the ends with bobby pins. To further accessorize I'm wearing big gold princess earrings. My princess costume is a sari blouse that I added some accessories and accents to.

Here's the completed look. This is my version of Princess Jasmine.
