How to DIY a Rice Mask for Healthy Hair
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you a rice hair mask that you can do for thirty minutes or leave it on while you sleep for an overnight hair mask DIY. Let’s get started.
Tools and materials:
- Organic white or brown rice
- Argan oil
- Lavender oil
- Saucepan
- Blender
1. Add washed organic rice
Add ¼ cup of organic white or brown rice to a saucepan. Wash beforehand to remove dirt.
2. Add filtered water
Add 1 cup of filtered water to the saucepan.
3. Simmer until cooked
Add a lid to the saucepan and let it simmer on a low flame. Keep boiling the rice until it is soft, but make sure it’s not completely dry.
4. Add rice to a cup
Add 2 tablespoons of cooked rice to a cup.
5. Add argan oil to the cup
Add 2 tablespoons of argan oil to the cup.
6. Add lavender essential oil to the cup
Add 2-4 drops of lavender essential oil to the cup.
7. Blend and pour into a bowl
Blend the rice and oil mixture until it’s smooth and creamy. Scoop the blended rice mask into a bowl.

To apply, section off your hair and rub at the rice mask both on the roots and the shaft of your hair.
Leave it on for 30 minutes or cover your hair and leave it on overnight for a DIY overnight hair mask.
