Rope Braid Crown Tutorial!
Everyone should wear a crown at some point in their lives! Try this rope braid crown! Just follow along with my step-by-step tutorial.
Tools and materials:
- Comb with pointed end
- Claw clip
- Flat hair clip
- 1-2 decorative hair pins
1. Separate 2 sections of hair in the front
Using the pointed end of a comb, separate a section of hair on either side of your face, starting at about the halfway point on your head.
Push the rest of your hair out of the way, behind your shoulders. Then temporarily secure that extra hair in the back with a claw clip.
2. Twist-braid
On one side of your face, separate 2 small bunches of hair.
Twist them together, and then gradually add more hair to the section of the twist that’s closer to your face.
Continue this until you reach the point just beyond your ear.
Then continue from that point by twisting the two strands until you reach the end of your hair.
Secure it with a flat hair clip in the meantime.
Continue this exact process on the other side.
3. Cross the twists in the back
Remove the flat clip and cross the 2 twisted braids at the back of your head.
Then, secure them in place with a decorative hair pin or 2.
Pull the ends of the hair under the hair pin(s) to make sure the hair lays straight and flat.
4. Add volume
For the finishing touch, pull gently at the sections of the twisted braids in the front to give them more volume.
