How to Achieve a Super Glam Rose Gold Eyeshadow Look for Christmas
Today, I’m doing my very first Christmas eye makeup look! It includes a red lip and rose gold eyeshadow look. Let’s get started.
Tools and materials:
- Primer
- Paint pot
- Eyeshadow
- Glittery eyeshadow
- Pigment
- Setting spray
- Gel liner
- Mascara
- Fake lashes
- Foundation
- Concealer
- Cream bronzer
- Powder bronzer
- Highlighter
- Loose powder
- Finishing powder
- Brow pencil
- Brow gel
- Spoolie
- Blush
- Lip liner
- Lipstick
- Makeup brushes
- Beauty blender
1. Prime your skin
Take a smoothing primer and apply it all over your skin.
2. Prime your eyelids
Use a paint pot and apply it all over the lid to create a smooth, even base.
3. Lay down a base shade
Take a vanilla, cream shade and apply it all over the lid with a flat, shader brush.
4. Apply a dusty mauve/rose eyeshadow to your lid and crease
Go in with a dusty mauve or dusty rose eyeshadow and apply it directly onto your lid and into your crease with a big, fluffy brush.
5. Apply a darker transition shade to the lid and crease
Go in with another transition shade.
This should be 2-3 shades darker than the previous ones used with a lot of rose and mauve tones in it.
Use the same brush and apply it the same way as the previous shade.
6. Apply a glitter cream eyeshadow
Apply a glitter cream eyeshadow. The one I’m using has a creamy consistency that dries matte.
7. Apply a rose gold glitter eyeshadow and blend
Take a rose gold glitter shadow and apply it to the lid with a brush.
This is the main color of this eye look, so apply it generously and blend out the eyeshadow.
8. Apply a glitter pigment to your lids
Spray your brush with a setting spray and then use it to pack a glittery pigment in the same color as the previous eyeshadow onto your lid.
This is going to make your eyeshadow look more metallic and shimmery.
Also, the setting spray helps prevent fallout. That’s why I always do my eyeshadow first, so when I’m doing my foundation, I can sweep away the fallout underneath.
9. Apply a champagne shimmery shadow
For the last eyeshadow, choose a light champagne, vanilla shimmery shadow and pack this color all over your lid with your finger.
10. Apply liner
Line your upper lash line with a gel liner.
11. Apply mascara and fake lashes
Apply mascara and then place your false lashes.
The ones I’m wearing are my obsession right now. They’re so fluffy and full but still lightweight and easy to wear.
12. Apply foundation
I mix my foundation with cover drops to add more coverage to my primer, foundation, and moisturizer.
Then, I apply it to my skin and blend it in with a brush.
13. Apply concealer
Apply concealer to the areas you want to be concealed.
I just press it into my skin and then blend it with a beauty blender and it gives it a very natural finish.
14. Apply a cream bronzer
I’m using a cream bronzer because I want my skin to look very bronzed instead of contoured.
So, take a round, dense kabuki brush and press the cream into your cheekbone, temples, and around the perimeter of your face so your skin looks very glowy and youthful.
15. Apply highlighter
Apply a liquid highlighter to your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose.
16. Set your concealer
Use a loose powder to set the concealer. I’m just baking the areas that I want to be a little lightened up.
17. Set your foundation
Set your foundation with a finishing powder. Press the powder into your skin to create a very matte finish and have your foundation last all day long.
18. Line the lower lashline
19. Apply mascara to lower lashes
20. Apply a powder bronzer
Apply a powder bronzer to the areas where you used the cream bronzer.
21. Highlight your inner corners
Use the same highlighter from earlier and apply it to your inner corners to make your eyes look brighter.
22. Brush and fill in your brows
Brush and fill in your brows with a brow pencil. Then, set them with a brow gel.
23. Highlight your brow bone
24. Apply blush
Apply a mid-tone beige blush to give a hint of color.
25. Apply champagne eyeshadow to your cheekbones
26. Apply red lip liner and lipstick
