I have a slight obsession with pineapples. I’m not really sure why I love them so much. My love of pineapples started a few years ago and has not gone away. I photographed a pineapple and framed it for my kitchen. I then made a out of an obnoxious pair of pineapple pants I bought. I JUST HEART PINEAPPLES!

Buckfeet has a pair of pineapple shoes I’ve been eyeing for quite some time now. These shoes are just a basic white slide on shoe with gold pineapples. I really like these, except for the price and the pineapples are made to look like grenades – not really my jam. So, I decided to use these shoes as inspiration to create my own DIY gold metallic pineapple shoes version for a fraction of the price and with actual pineapples, not grenades!

  • Canvas Shoes
  • Iron-On Metallic Vinyl
  • Pineapple Punch
  • Scissors
  • Iron
  • Cardstock
  • Pen

Place your cardstock in your pineapple punch and press down.
Lay your punched pineapple on the back side of your iron-on vinyl and trace around it.
Cut your pineapple.  You’ll want to cut out 12 pineapples in total.
Arrange your pineapples on the tips of your shoes.  Next, iron on your pineapples.  Follow the instructions on the packaging for the iron settings. After you iron-on your pineapples on one shoe, lay it next to your other shoe and use it as a guide to iron-on the other pineapples so both shoes look the same.
