Grab a Scarf and Wrap It Around Your Flip Flops
Plain flip flops are cheap and cheerful, but they don’t look exactly glam. They’re not always very comfortable either.
Here’s a no-sew, no-glue way to jazz them up and make them feel good on your feet. And it only takes a minute or two.

Tools and materials:
- Plain flip flops
- 2 rectangular cotton scarves
1. Grab your supplies
Get the cheapest, plainest flip flops you can find.
You’ll also need two rectangular scarves (one for each shoe). A cotton mix is better than a silky one for this.
And that’s literally all you need.
2. Wrap it
Find the center of your scarf and tie it around the post of the flip flop.
Check you have an equal length of scarf free on each side.
Wrap the scarf around the straps to cover them.
Just to do a simple wrap and it doesn’t have to be that neat.
Put the shoe on.
Take the free ends behind your heel and cross them at the back of your ankle.
Bring them to the front and tie them in a knot or a bow.
