Believe it or not, the skirt I wore from Work to the Hospital and then had to Sleep in All through the Night, I Threw Away.

Hospital Germs Creep Me Out.

And I didn’t want the Memories associated with the Skirt.

Gone. Moved On. Silly. I know.

I really liked the Skirt.

It was a Favorite in my Work Repertoire.

But Now Replaced.

With Faux Suede! Same Pattern, New Fancy Fabric!

Another of my Skirts in 20 Minutes…With the Fancy Dressmaker French Seams.

Faux Suede in Buckskin. Amazon LINK.

Here’s a Quick Sketch.

4 Panels and an Elastic Waist.

Ankle Length.

Soft and Flowy and Fun Fabrics.

I wear a Size Large. To make this flowy skirt, I used 4 yards of fabric.

This is one of those Wow-I-Love-Your-Skirt-kind of Fabrics! The skirt is just 4 panels with an elastic waist. Very simple. Almost too simple. But what gives it the WOW is the fabric. Soft, supple faux buckskin suede.

Sew the 4 panels together.

2 panels for the Front with a Center Seam.

2 panels for the Back with a Center Seam.

To create French Seams, first sew the panels together with right sides facing out. Trim the Seams to the stitch line being careful not to cut the threads.

Then flip the panels with wrong sides facing out. Pin and sew the seam again. This makes the Very Fancy French Seams emerge.

Clean, Neat, French Seams are beautiful. No scraggly threads or rough seams anywhere.

Front Panels Done. The drape is beautiful when using all the fabric.

Do the same for the Back Panels.

For the Top of the Skirt, sew a channel and add elastic to fit your waist.

For the Bottom of the Skirt, measure the length and sew a simple hem. Using thread that color matches the fabric, the threads will disappear. No hand sewing hems here.

20 Minutes. You're Done! A New Skirt for a New Week.

Buttery Buckskin. Faux Suede. Washable! Hang to Dry!
