I made the Fibremood Fenna Skirt from the most recent release, and I'm going to share all the good stuff with you. How I made it, where I got the necessary components and then we're going to style it two ways, I'm sure you are going to love it as much as me!!

The Fenna, is a great pattern, I love how its so versatile. It looks great dressed up for a night out on the tiles but also casual enough to look great with sturdy boots and a chunky sweater. Perfect for a shopping trip up town on a chilly day!

So our first step is to add darts front and back, this allows a straight piece of fabric to shape to our bodies.

I used a lovely canvas, but it would look great in denim too.

I think I might make a black denim one next!!

Next up we're going to create the pockets, by stitching the pocket bags to the fronts at the angled sides, I used fabric scraps here to use up all my odd bits of pretty fabric.

So the pockets are attached and don't they look pretty on the inside? I've also added a strip of interfacing to the button fly area, this adds some extra structure to the area which needs extra strength.

Here you can see I added the button fly, doesn't it look neat!

Next lets make the back of the skirt, the re-position the pockets, if they are too far apart. As I find that can make my rear look really big!!irst step is stitching the two sides together and add some path pockets to the back. I have learned that the back pocket positioning can change completely the way the skirt flatters my behind so I'd pin the pockets on and see how it looks, you can always

Next I've stitched the left and right fronts together and I'm stitching the fronts to the back

Next lets add the inside fly cover and were almost done!!

Just the waistband to go and the hem then we're ready to style!!

Ta-da I love the way my Fibremood Fenna is so versatile it looks great styled all comfy and cosy with some chunky boots, sweater and hand knitted shawl!

But I may like this styling better, dressed up with heels and a slinky blouse, I'm ready for anything!! Now I just need a party invite!!
