Think Pink!

Spring is in the air! For me, pink is in season all year round. But, if you're not pink obsessed like I am, spring is definitely the one time of year you should consider sporting it. I mean, even the trees turn pink! Here are some tips on how to pull pink off. (Cast is purely optional.)

Thinking about pinking.

First, try a headband! If you're not ready to commit to pink clothing yet, start with an accent. Padded headbands are trending right now and if you're going to jump onboard with pink, I say go headfirst! Hot pink looks great with both dark and light hair. I think the key to wearing a headband is to have a defined center part and making sure the headband is set back far enough on the crown of your head to appreciate it.

Different shades of pink are ok!

Second, don't be afraid to mix your shades of pink. Here I have the hot fuchsia pink headband paired with a barely there pastel pink blouse. The bubblegum pink flats are in a totally different family, but since the three pieces are separated (by a neutral!) nothing clashes or hurts the eye.

Lastly, try a pink necklace. I chose to pair my pink accessory with a pink sweater -- because, remember, what goes better with pink than more pink? But a black or white blouse would make this necklace pop even more! Also, maroon seems like an unlikely color to pair pink with, but in my opinion it also compliments it really well. Enjoy your spring!

  • I love pink too! From the palest baby pink to deep raspberry or beaujolais . I stumbled over three darling pink tops in the recent past and purchased them all as the price was very friendly. On a day that I feel tired, raggedy and run down, wear pink, it will perk you right up!
