Styling Tennis Skirts This Fall

I recently got this tennis skirt secondhand from Facebook Marketplace (who else loves FBM?!)

I was very excited to style it for fall. Here are some tips for you to use on your own pleated or skater-style skirts.

Sweater vest and boots

If it's not too cold where you're living yet, pair it with a sweater vest. This style is so chique and the material is great for chillier days.

The riding boots play into the country club style that we're going for here.

Sweater and loafers

If it's a little colder, pair a v-neck sweater with a button up shirt for a more sophisticated/scholastic aesthetic.

I love the socks and heels combo here. It really says "I got up an dress today... watch out world!"

Everything you see here is secondhand from local shops. So don't be afraid to wear your thrifted bits.

Polo and sneakers

This is for my busy gals who love comfort. You can still look classy while wearing sneakers. Just pair a collared shirt with the tennis skirt and your good to go!

(This top was a recent upcycle of mine. If you want one for yourself, check out my tutorial here on Upstyle Daily: https://www.upstyledaily.com/diy/give-your-husband-s-old-golf-shirt-a-cute-crop-44419855 )

Blazer and heels

Have a fancy brunch or dinner? This look is perfect! It's so feminine and put together.

Simply pair a blazer as a top with the tennis skirt and some low pumps. Don't forget to match with a cute bag and sunnies.

Play around with your secondhand pieces this fall!

Let me know your favorite way to style this type of skirt.

Love,
