Looking for a Makeup Tutorial to Celebrate Taylor's Rerelease Red?
Hey, guys. Today’s look is an update on Taylor Swift’s makeup. I was inspired by her makeup from the Red album, so if you’re interested in getting this look, then stay tuned.
Tools and materials:
- Eyeshadow primer
- Eyeshadow
- Color corrector
- BB cream
- Liquid lipstick
- Blush
- Setting spray
1. Eyeshadow base
Jumping right in, our first step is our eyeshadow base and I’m using a white primer.
2. Transition shade
I’m going in with a transition shade using a big, fluffy blending brush.
3. Darker shade
Next, I’m going to deposit a darker brown right into my crease, and I’m just keeping the color in the outer one-third.
Then, I’m going to go in and just blend that out.
4. Bottom lash line
Taking that same brown color, I’m just going to smudge out my bottom lash line.
5. Winged liner
Next, I’m going to take an angled brush. To update the look, I’m going to do the liner with a dark brown eyeshadow instead.
6. Bottom lash line again
From there, I’m going to take that same dark brown color that we used for the winged liner and just tap that right into my bottom lash line just to balance out the top.
7. Highlight on inner corners
Now, I’m just going to tap on a highlight shade just with my finger right in the inner corner of my tear duct.
8. Color corrector
Now, using my finger, I’m going to go in with a color corrector and I’m just going to tap that onto the darkest part of my circle and blend it out a little bit.
9. Foundation
For foundation, I’m going to cover my face with my favorite bb cream using a flat top brush.
10. Lipstick
For lipstick, Taylor’s signature look is a red lip, so I’m going to go in with a red liquid lipstick.
11. Blush
The brown-orange color is in for blush, so I’m going to go in with a small face brush and just sweep that upwards on my cheeks.
12. Set
I’m going to finish off the look with a setting spray.
