This Hairstyle is Giving MAIN CHARACTER Energy
In this tutorial, I’m going to show you a hairstyle that involves braids and buns and is totally unique.
It gives me main character energy, and I can’t wait to show you. Let’s jump on in!
Tools and materials:
- Hair ties
- Hair elastics
1. Tie hair back
First, part your hair down the center. Then section off some hair at the front on both sides and tie the rest back so it’s out of the way.
2. Braid front section
Now separate the front hair off into four sections and tie an elastic at the top of each one.
Now make two little braids on each side. I left the bottoms of the braids without an elastic, but if you don’t have natural hair and your braids would become easily unraveled, you can add an elastic.
3. Create a bun
Take the back section of your hair down.
Gather some hair on one side and tie as if you were going to make a ponytail, but only pull the hair through half way so that you’ll be left with a bun.
Wrap the bottom part of the ponytail around the bun and tuck the ends under.
4. Repeat
Now make a bun on the other side. You also want the second braid on each side to be tucked under the buns.

Here is the finished look, and this hairstyle gives me main character energy because it makes me feel like I could be the lead role in some sort of teenage TV show.
The braids and the buns make this hairstyle so full of personality, and I just love it!
