Hey guys! I’m going to show you how to make bubble braids. We’re actually not even braiding the hair, we’re creating the effect of a braid, so it’s a super easy hairstyle. Let’s get to it!
Tools and materials:
- Small hair elastics
1. Gather and tie small sections
Start with a small section of hair from the front of your face.
I like to leave a few strands of hair out in front to frame my face. Take the hair and tie it with a small hair tie.
2. Pull out bubbles of hair between hair ties
Moving towards the back of your head, take another small section of hair and add it to the first.
It’s a similar concept to making a French braid.
Now pull at the hair between the two hair ties to create a bubble.
Repeat the step one more time so you’re tying off three sections of hair and pulling at the hair between each section.
3. Create bubbles along the length of the hair
Then you’re going to take the hair you gathered and put in hair ties along the length of the hair, each about an inch apart.
Pull at the hair in between each hair tie to create a bubble.
4. Do the other side
Repeat these steps on the other side of your head.
How to make bubble braids
All done! This is such a cool hair style. It’s like a modern take on the classic French braid. I love it.
