Make a DIY co-ord

How to make a DIY co-ord

Cut your fabric

Lay the shirt flat and use a seam ripper to remove the pocket from the chest. Once that’s done, lay an off-the-shoulder top that fits you well onto your t-shirt. Pin it in place and trace around it (remember to leave room for seam allowance). Repeat this process with a skirt that fits you well, meeting the top edge of the skirt with the bottom edge of the shirt. Cut across the line where the pieces meet and then cut out your pieces.

Build your pieces

Lay your skirt pieces right sides together, pin the side edges and sew a straight stitch. Next, hem the top edge of the skirt by folding the edge inwards, pinning it down, and then sewing a straight stitch all around. Once that’s done, repeat the same process with your top by placing the piece’s right sides together, pinning the sides, and sewing a straight stitch. Use the same fold-over method as before to hem the bottom of the shirt and you’re done!
