Grab 2 Silk Scarves and Upgrade Your Look
Follow along to see how I turn a basic turtleneck into a classy, upgraded top.
All you need are 2 large, square silk scarves and in 2 minutes time you’ll be making a statement! Let’s get started.
Tools and materials:
- Turtleneck top
- 2 large square silk scarves
1. Double knot each scarf
Start by wearing a thin turtleneck in a color that will compliment your scarves.
Then, grab your first scarf and tie 2 corners together in a double knot, creating a hole underneath for your arm.
Then, pull your arm through, bringing the knot to your shoulder.
Next, repeat the same thing with your 2nd scarf and place it on your other shoulder.
2. Tie the scarves in the front
Grab the 2 corners in front of you and tie them in a double knot, leaving a few inches for the tails.
3. Tuck the excess fabric
Take the excess fabric on either side and tuck it underneath the bodice to shorten the silk top.
4. Tie the corners in the back
Now, tie the corners in the back in a tight double knot to ensure that the scarves stay in place.
5. Perfect the straps
Polish off the look of the straps by tucking in the tails of the knots at your shoulders.
