Turn That Tank You Hate Into a Tube Top You LOVE!
Hi everyone. Today, I’m going to show you how to turn a tank top that you hate into a tube top that you love!
This upcycle is super simple, so let’s get started.
Tools and materials:
- Tank top to upcycle
- Tube top to use as a template
- Scissors
- Pins
- Sewing machine
1. Open up the side seams
For this DIY, I started out by opening up the side seams.
2. Use a tube top as a template
I then took a tube top that fits me and placed it over the center of the Aperol spritz graphic of my tank top. I’m going to be using the tube top as a template.
3. Cut around your template
Cut out both the front and back pieces of your tube top.
4. Put the right sides together and sew
Then, put the right sides together (the sides you would see when you’re wearing the top) and sew!
5. Zigzag stitch the top of the top
Pin down the very top of your top and then zigzag stitch that into place.

And now you have a super cute tube top that’s perfect for the upcoming warmer weather.
