Are you ready for me to share all the details? Stick around and I'll show you how I made it and how I styled it 2 ways!!
So here we go, this is such a pretty pattern and its all about the neckline!!
The first step once the pattern pieces are cut out is to stitch the shoulder seams, then we stitch the yoke lining to the bodice at the neckline.
The next step is to stitch a piece of bias binding to create the little triangles at the neckline.
Then the bias is folded over to the inside and pinned before stitching down.
Next we need to add the lower front and back bodice sections.
The next and penultimate step is to stitch the side seams. I found this a good time to tweak the fit by basting and then taking the sides in to get a great fit!!
Now just the hem and we're ready to style it up!!
How fabulous is this top, and its perfect for a casual evening or lunch date! Here you can see I've styled it up with some cool wedge shoes and my favourite denim jeans.
But maybe for a office party I might chose to wear it with some sexy patent heels and some black trousers!! Super smart, and I could definitely dance the night away!!
Which is your favourite way to style it??
Enjoyed the project?
