Glitter Bracelets a Totally Tubular 15 Minute DIY

Here’s what you will need to create Glitter Bracelets:

Here’s how to make Totally Tubular Bracelets:

STEP ONE

Start by cutting your smaller tubing to a length of about 10″ – you can do with this a good, heavy-duty pair of scissors.

STEP TWO

Seal one end of the plastic tubing with hot glue. Wet your index finger and tap the hot glue lightly to make sure the tube is sealed and the glue is flush with the end of the tube.

STEP THREE

Once the glue is completely dry, start adding glitter into the tube. Use a small funnel to add in fine particles of glitter. The inside of the tube has a bit of static, so start all designs with clear or iridescent white glitter. This will coat the inside of the tube and neutralize the static.

Create a rainbow pattern.

And then the metallics for a more upscale look.

STEP FOUR

Fill the tube completely and then trim any excess tubing with scissors. I created a 9-inch bracelet for me and a 7-inch bracelet for my 10-year-old niece.

Then seal up the open end with some additional hot glue. Again, wet your index finger and tap the hot glue to ensure that the tube is completely sealed.

STEP FIVE

Once that is dry, you will need a piece of the larger tubing that is about 1/2″ long (again, you can cut this with heavy-duty scissors). Use that as the connector between the two ends of the sealed tubing, which creates a bangle style bracelet.

STEP SIX

Use washi tape to embellish your bracelets, paying particular attention to the connector piece so you can hide the hot glue ends!

Mix and match with your other favorite bangles and bracelets, and you’ve got one seriously colorful arm party going on! These would be super fun to make with a close group of girlfriends on a quiet night in or with the kiddos on a rainy afternoon. With these DIY chunky, colorful bangles you’re sure to make a statement!
