If you're looking for a simple combo of ingredients to make the perfect at-home lip plumping scrub, then this is the tutorial for you! You likely have everything in your pantry already. This tutorial uses the following ingredients: ground cinnamon, sugar, and olive oil.

Begin by adding equal parts cinnamon, white sugar, and olive oil to a small bowl. I added 1/4 teaspoon of each to make a small batch that amounted to two to five scrubs, depending on your application amount. You can add more oil if you mixture isn't combining, plus there are a few ingredient substitutions that would work.

First, swapping white sugar for brown sugar is a great option if you have sensitive lips. White sugar will exfoliate more harshly than brown sugar, so keep that in mind. As well, avocado or coconut oil, as well as vitamin E are great alternatives to olive oil. It will depend on your preference but all will provide conditioning properties to your skin.

Next, mix everything together to form a thick paste. It will darken up as you combine the ingredients. Feel free to add slightly more oil if your paste isn't fully combining.

Apply the paste directly to your lips. You can use your finger, as I've shown here, or an applicator. I've found these reusable ones that work well for applying the product. Now gently rub the lip scrub on your lips for several minutes. After you've completed the exfoliation, rinse off with warm water and a cloth.

The final results will leave your lips feeling plumped and smooth! I applied my favourite gloss and was ready for the day. I typically use this scrub once a week during the winter season to keep my lips feeling fresh.
