  • Jelly eyeshadow
  • Mascara
  • False lashes

moisturized face

1. Moisturize

You always want to start a makeup look with well-moisturized skin.

applying concealer

2. Concealer

To highlight the center of my face, I’m using a concealer in a fair shade and applying it under my eyes, on my forehead, my chin, and my nose. Don’t blend yet.

contouring face

3. Contour

Next, I’m applying contour to all of the areas I need contoured, which I’m doing around the edges of my face, under my cheekbones, my nose, and under my lips. Again, no blending!

4. Lip and cheek tint

Take a lip and cheek tint and apply it to your cheeks. I know this all looks really dramatic, but it’s all going to come together as the perfect Indian wedding makeup, I promise.

applying foundation

5. Foundation

The last step before blending is to apply foundation. I’m just taking a bit on a brush and dotting that all over anything that we just did.

blending

6. Blend

Now, we blend! Take a damp beauty blender and go ahead and blend everything out. Start off from the highlighted areas, move on to the contoured areas, and then finally blend out the blush. As you can see, it all looks really put together. I enjoy doing this method because it’s super easy and fun.

setting with powder

7. Set with translucent powder

To finish off the face, take some translucent powder to set everything in place, and bake your under-eye area.

filling in eyebrows

8. Brows

Now, moving on to our wedding eye makeup. Take a very neutral-toned gray eyeshadow shade and fill in your brows. It gives you a very natural-looking eyebrow as you can see.

lining eyes

9. Liner

Take the same shadow and create a soft, winged-liner effect on both of your eyes.

Then, with that same color, use a fluffy brush and create a soft V on the outer corners of your eyes. Here, I’m just slightly blending that inwards towards my crease.

applying eyeshadow

10. Eyeshadow

Next, I’m taking this silver jelly eyeshadow and applying it to my lid. I love this shadow because it’s super stunning and pigmented, and unlike other liquid shadows, it doesn’t dry instantly, so it gives me enough time to blend it out. You want to make sure it’s completely dry before moving on or else it might end up creasing. Once it does dry, it stays put the entire day.

Once it’s dry, take the same gray shadow from before and blend out the edges of the silver shadow so that everything looks nice and seamless.

11. Apply shadow to lower lash line

Using the same gray eyeshadow, create a shadow effect on the lower lash line.

12. Highlight the inner corners

Grab the lightest shade from the palette you’ve been using and highlight the inner corners of your eyes.

applying mascara

13. Mascara

Moving onto your lashes, go ahead and curl them. Then, go in with your favorite mascara.

14. Lip tint

For your lips, use that same lip and cheek tint from before, and apply it with a lip brush. This is such a beautiful magenta color.

highlighting face

15. Highlight

Dust off all the excess powder from your face, then take the lightest shade from your palette again and use it to highlight all of the high points on your face. These are usually your cheekbones, nose, and brow bone. This gives you such a beautiful, subtle highlight.

applying false lashes

16. Eyelashes

Finally, I’m applying some false lashes. I love how it makes my eyes look super fluttery, and I love the wispy effect.
